WHAT IT DOES - DrainSaver clears the cloudy water left over from throwing, trimming and glazing. It pulls suspended clay and glaze particles out of the water so they settle in your bucket instead of building up in your studio's pipes.
HOW IT WORKS - Fine clay and glaze particles can stay suspended in water for days. DrainSaver makes them clump together and sink. You will see it working within a few minutes, and the particles finish settling in about 40 minutes.
HOW TO USE - Start with 1 level teaspoon for every 1.5 gallons (5.7 L) of dirty water, or 2 1/2 level teaspoons for a typical 4-gallon bucket. Stir for 30 seconds, let it rest for about 40 minutes, then pour off the clear water.
TIPS - More is not better: too much turns the water murky again. If the particles are not settling, add a little at a time until they begin to. Dispose of the remaining sludge according to local regulations; it cannot be reused.
ART MATERIAL - Conforms to ASTM D-4236 art materials standard.
CONSCIENTIOUSLY MANUFACTURED - At Penguin Pottery, our core values are simple: manufacture responsibly in the USA, craft exceptional products, and support the pottery community by donating 1% of our sales to school programs, community centers, and disaster relief for artists.
LIFETIME WARRANTY - Penguin Pottery products are backed by our Lifetime Warranty. If you have any issues, we will give you a refund or replace your product. See warranty & support section for more information.
